Blood donation program in association with merobikers and bikerboyz.

By Chhongba | May 16, 2008

Blood shortage in Redcross. News papers publish this news more than 5 times in a month. Why blood becomes shortage in Redcross? Is there no donors available? or people are not familier with donating blood? I personally know that blood always becomes shortage in Redcross and they are not even serious to collect donors or encourage them. You can try yourself by going to the redcross and asking, Do we have AB+ or some other group of blood, Their answer will be NO. You have to search live donors, asking friends like what is your blood group? what is his or her blood group? Ok someone’s blood matched. Ask him or her to donate blood, They will shows you many problems. There will be double tention with you if you have someone admited in the hospital and need blood transfusion.

We need to encourage people to donate blood. This issue should be raised by the government sector. Redcross will collect blood but who collects donors?

Recently Nepalbloodbank.org organized blood donation program in association with Merobikerz and BikerBoyz. Around 80 peoples donated blood in the program. This event encouraged us to do such a program frequently.

We are not ceremonial donors and organizers. We don’t need any speciafic day or festival to donate blood. We will target to fulfil blood shortages. Giving is not only thing we do, We take 5 times more than what we give others. So keep it in mind and donate blood.

why blood donation? who donates blood?

    By Chhongba | January 15, 2008

I have never Donated any amount of blood in red cross or any institution but I would love too. If you have the capacity to donate blood then do it now because by doing so, you can save lots of lives that need blood transfusion. Blood donation is a way of helping other people no matter any group of blood.

the eligbility of donating blood is if your weight is 45 and you are older than 17 years of age. You need to undergo medical check-up to know if you have no AIDS/HIV.
Your personal information will be kept confidential.
You can USE www.Nepalbloodbank.com to donate blood, You will be asked to donate blood if someone is in emergency and there are no blood available in the blood banks. You will not be forced to donate. just leave your contact number and blood group.

    donation and their categories

    By Chhongba | January 15, 2008

A donation is a gift given, typically to a cause or/and for charitable purposes. A donation may take various forms, including cash, services, new or used goods as i.e. clothing, toys, food, vehicles, emergency or humanitarian aid items, and can also relate to medical care needs as i.e. blood or organs for transplant. Charitable gifts of goods or services are also called gifts in kind.

It is possible to donate in someone else’s name, also commonly referred to as making a gift in honor or in memory of someone. Gifts in honor or memory of other people are made for various reasons, such as holiday gifts, wedding gifts, or in memory of somebody who has died. Memorial gifts are sometimes requested by the survivors (e.g. “in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to ABC Charity”), usually directing donations to a charitable organization for which the deceased was a donor or volunteer, or for a cause befitting the deceased’s priorities in life or manner of death. Memorial donations are also sometimes given by people if they cannot go to the ceremonies.
This site is also dedicated to my departed Love(Sanju). I know how essential is blood donation. Blood donation is the simply thing that you can do and the most honourable donation done by you.
